Job summary You ready to join a team changing the world we live in today? We are looking for an experienced HR Leader to join our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Commercial Sales Technical organization. The HR leader will focus on supporting complex and scaling client groups to develop and execute people priorities that enable business performance and foster the employee experience. The role can be based out of the following AWS Corporate offices: Arlington, VA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA. Travel required, 30-45%. Some awesome initiatives this role will help own and drive: * Develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve HR initiatives. * Lead organizational effectiveness strategies for the business including strategic planning, visioning, organization design, talent management, change management * Advocate for client perspectives and needs with central people rhythms and programs * Lead key people and organizational processes including succession planning, talent development and organizational health priorities * Deliver results in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment. * Provide strategic business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to executive members of the organization * Provide valuable input and expertise to your client groups in terms of employment legislation, policies and practices. * Review and improve processes in partnership with stakeholders and HR Center of Excellence teams. * Own and drive goals and special projects for Americas organization as needed * Bachelor's degree in human resources or business management. * 6+ years of professional HR or HR management experience. * Experience working with matrixed global organizations supporting sales and/or technical employee populations * 7+ years of broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee development and performance appraisal systems; a graduate degree in Human Resources or social science is preferred. * Experience in high tech environment * Experience multi-state and international employment laws. * Passion for data, innovative HR solutions and process improvement. A keen interest in experimentation. * Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures, ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction. * Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings; high proficiency in excel. * Experience working in a start-up like environment where the pace is quick and your responsibilities stretch between strategic and tactical. * Strong ownership and attention to detail. * Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and willingness to be vocally self-critical. * Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities. * Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and make the best use of limited resources. * Able to identify a business challenge, articulate it into a problem statement and then solve it using data, science and/or art.
