Reggio's Treehouse is excited to announce it has been selected to open up a brand-new center in the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) new HQ in Washington, DC. Come be an integral part of launching our newest center in this highly modern, state-of-the-art environment. Reggio's Treehouse's (RTH) first priority is to hire a Center Director that will help build our team and vision for TeleTots by Reggio's Treehouse. The ideal candidate is a proven early childhood education leader with a passion for working with young children and their families, and has the vision, high integrity, and strong interpersonal skills that make for a great leader. Our center is Reggio Emilia inspired and we are seeking an educator who possesses an educational philosophy based on the Reggio Emilia values of collaboration, community and child directed learning. Our Center Director is responsible for the overall operations of a childcare facility in accordance with state and local laws, licensing requirements and Company policy to provide an outstanding experience for the staff, children, and their parents. The Director is the first line of representation in welcoming families and children, to ensure outstanding care and service. Communications and leadership are essential in this role to build and foster parent relationships and collaborate and manage center staff on day-to-day operations. Core Requirements: Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration or a related field required. Masters in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration or related field with credits in administration, leadership, and management or equivalent preferred A minimum of 3 years' experience at director level or equivalent experience Demonstrated leadership in early childhood education including support and development of early childhood curriculum Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Outstanding interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization . A strong desire to create a community within the school's staff and families The ability to mentor and inspire teaching staff Responsibilities Include: Oversee day-to-day operations of the Center, including determination of all schedules and assignment of preschool staff responsibilities Understanding and complying with state & local child care licensing regulations Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills Supervise general condition and upkeep of the school and grounds; ensure that the new health regulations related to COVID-19 are being met by school community The ability to communicate the program's philosophy and promote a positive public image to staff and current & prospective families. Ability to work off site in promoting the school at preschool fairs and community events Establish and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with staff and families Communicate with all elements of the school community (parents, teachers and administrative staff) Assist with the development of a curriculum to meet the needs of children Staff management, including oversight of hiring, training and supervision of preschool staff Assist the staff in the creation of a Reggio inspired environment Guide the staff in administering, planning and evaluating lesson plans and long-term projects Train and supervise preschool staff by holding regular meeting, mediating minor disagreements and assisting in the classroom when necessary Conduct staff evaluations and provide coaching for improvement Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday COVID-19 considerations: Reggio's Treehouse implements strict Covid-19 Safety Protocols at all it's Centers.
