We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist provides guidance and solutions on human resources operational issues. In addition, the Generalist partners with management to facilitate the delivery of HR services. This individual ensures the organization's current HR requirements are met and the HR strategy is implemented effectively. Lastly, The HR Generalist also serves as contact for employees and answers questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include:Responsibilities:Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leave, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Assist in the management and administration of company benefit programsAssist with employee onboarding and separation processes.Assist HR department with new hire orientations and benefit orientationsConducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Maintain HRIS system data including entry and reporting.Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and other employment records.Assist in developing content for corporate communications both internal & external.Maintain knowledge of HR policies and procedures, as well as state and federal labor laws.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Recommend policies, practices, and programs to meet management and employee needs.Assist in the maintenance of employee training and recognition programs.Collaborate with outside vendors, Executive Management, and employees to maintain CSR standards.Processes documents and forms necessary for the implementation of various Human Resources policies.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Assist HR Department on other assignments and/or special projects as requested.Requirements & Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organizations.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations at a local, state, and federal level.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.3+ years of demonstrated human resource experience.Supporting the development of position descriptions is a plus but not required.Experience with the recruiting process is a plus but not required.Experience with HIPAA is a plus but not required.Multi-state HR management is a plus but not required.Job Type:Full TimeTemporarily Remote (COVID-19)Monday-Friday9p-5pOur hiring process is 100% online.About Synectics:Synectics is a solutions specialist company focused on federal data - gathering, storing, cleaning, analyzing, visualizing, reporting on, and ultimately making it meaningful for stakeholders and their constituents.
