We are currently seeking a Chief of Staff to join our team. As Chief of Staff, the primary responsibility is to help the VP, leadership team, and the design organization be more productive and successful.

What You'll Do:

You'll be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities, including: Management of and on Behalf of Senior Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, confidential thought partner, coach and sounding board to senior leadership
  • Facilitate strategic planning and team effectiveness workshops as needed to enable healthy functioning teams and align cultures and subcultures
  • Prioritizing requests and partnering with Design Operations team to assess inquiries and determine proper course of action
  • Helping assess highest impact opportunities for leadership participation and action
  • Managing business critical relationships on behalf of senior leadership, and representing senior leadership accordingly in non-executive meetings
  • Partnering with teams to troubleshoot, problem solve, and shape requests prior to involvement of senior leadership
  • Tracking priority initiatives for senior leadership and proactively identifying obstacles, communicating status, and pulling in other team members as necessary
  • Helping vet internal and external speaking opportunities
  • Leading strategic storytelling and messaging support
  • Counseling leadership team on organizational design and change management
  • Protecting and preserving organizational and leadership integrity by surfacing potential risks and mitigation strategies


Collaboration & Connection
  • Serving as a trusted advisor, confidential thought partner, and act as a sounding board to senior leadership
  • Thinking through challenges and brainstorming potential solutions
  • Evangelizing the impact of design with business partners by embracing and advocating for an experience design mindset
  • Anticipating and cultivate open communication channels between senior leadership and designers
  • Handling oversight of special projects that don't fit into traditional workstreams
  • Identifying and supervising strategic projects
  • Keeping a finger on the culture pulse and actively participating in shaping it; focusing on morale, attrition, and unspoken feedback
  • Managing difficult situations and hard conversations; showing a high level of discretion, professional maturity, resilience, and adaptability
  • Diagnosing root causes of growth areas and creating solutions that cultivate change
  • Working with partners and teams across various geographies and travelling to meetings and events as needed
  • Partnering on Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives


Learning & Development

  • Identify themes for learning and development across the team, identify learning resources (both internal and external), and establish an ongoing L&D strategy
  • Strengthen data literacy/ML skills across organization via knowledge shares, peer to peer learning and experts from across the company
  • Partner with XD top of house and enterprise L&D teams to implement leadership development, competency training & DIB learning opportunities


Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in communications planning.
  • At least 5 years experience in project delivery.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project delivery
