Duties

  • Research, review and evaluation, documentation preparations, and production services to compliment the joint operational planning process.
  • Develop the processes and methodologies that will be applied to provide strategic assessments of command operations, activities, and actions against objectives outlined in the command Functional Campaign Plan for Cyberspace Operations
  • Provide guidance on how the OAAs employed support objectives outlined in campaign plans and other joint planning documents, and to identify/assess lessons learned as a result of these activities to improve campaigning

  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance with access to sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

  • Incumbent is subject to initial and random drug testing

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative Management Positions.

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include:
Developing the processes and methodologies that will be applied to provide strategic assessments of command operations, activities, and actions against objectives outlined in the command Functional Campaign Plan for Cyberspace Operations
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
  • Ability to conduct military/contingency and crisis action planning for cyberspace operations in order to operate network and information systems, as well as protect, detect, and/or mitigate IT and cyberspace vulnerabilities.
  • Skill in applying functional expertise in the development of analytical methods and tools used to support joint cyberspace operations planning.
  • Skill in selecting and applying analytical methods and tools to the assessment of command OAAs against objectives of supported and supporting plans and development/justification of recommended strategies and courses of action.
  • Knowledge of the role of DOD networks and other national IT assets in supporting and facilitating military operations, world-wide

  • Knowledge of the DOD and Intelligence Community organizational structure supporting cyberspace operations planning and operations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the cyberspace community to write, articulate, and adjudicate differences.

  • PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

    VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
