Description Robert Half is looking for a General Ledger and Tax Accountant for a potential contract to hire opportunity with a fast-growing company. This candidate will handle all accounting duties such as the general ledger, full cycle accounting, payroll, financial statements (FP& A), bank reconciliations, balance sheets, bookkeeping, and taxes (business and individual). You will report to the head CPA and you will assist in all factors of tax and accounting. This position is very involved and the candidate should be knowledgeable of general ledger, balance sheets, and the tax return process.To qualify:Must understand providing general ledger services. (Bookkeeping service)Must be analytical and be able to find errors & misclassifications.The expected duties:Review and analyze general ledgers after the bookkeeper or client completed the months' work.Review transactions and client issues and solve their problems.Be capable of understanding a client problem and returning with a correct journal entry or answer.When presented with payroll issues, provide solutions.Learn the Creative Solutions program and solve problems that the staff has using the program.Learn all the rules surrounding payroll and when needed relay the rules to payroll staff or payroll clients.Review bank reconciliations.Be able to do everything that a staff person can do.In addition: have these skillsIndividual tax preparation Business tax preparation Requirements Preferred Requirements and Experience:+ 5+ years of experience in full-cycle general ledger/balance sheet accounting or bookkeeping+ 5+ years of experience in tax preparation (business and individual, multi-state, and international)+ Accounting software knowledge (Creative Solutions / Thompson Reuters)+ Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals (GAAP)+ Knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP& A)+ CPA license+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting/FinanceRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
