The SOARING program prepares CNA's to practice in an advanced direct patient care role through an accelerated 6-week instructor led internship. The program is based on the core values of success, ownership, accountability, responsibility, respect, independence, integration, and growth. Graduates of the SOARING program provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent , and successful completion of a " Patient Care Technician" or "Advanced Patient Care Skills" course at one of the following colleges: Anne Arundel Community College: Advanced Patient Care Technician Baltimore City Community College: Patient Care Technician Community College of Baltimore County: Patient Care Technician Howard Community College: Advanced Patient Care Skills Frederick Community College Prince George's Community College Certification, Licensure, etc: Certified Nursing Assistant license active on the MBON. Active CPR certification provided by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network .
