HR Generalist - Level II We are currently seeking a HR Generalist - Level II to join the team in Dulles, VA (20166). About the Role: The HR Generalist - Level II will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. What youll do: Partner with the leadership team (Hiring Managers, Finance Team & Recruiters) to understand, plan for, and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning; Work with department heads to implement new hire orientations, and employee recognition programs. Provide support and guidance to Company management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Develop new or updates existing HR policies and procedures and implement accordingly toward operational efficiency. Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommend best practices and corporate directives, review policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Process semi-monthly Payroll Package, taxes, reporting; Review weekly timesheets & PTO requests for approval and accurate entry; Maintain payroll & benefits platform to include all digital employee & company files. Coordinate with Executive Team & ADP to provide and implement all Employee Benefits offerings, including Health, Dental, Workman's Comp, and other voluntary benefits. Process onboarding paperwork, reviews I-9s, and administers applicable screening processes to include background checks & drug screens. Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments (may include anti-harassment training, professional licensure, aptitude exams, and certifications). Educate new hires on HR policies, company procedures, and regulations. Assist in evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Respond to employment/unemployment inquiries and verifications. Perform other duties as assigned. Duties may include Employee SharePoint Portal administration, conference room readiness, hospitality tasks as needed (company meetings preparations/gift purchases), daily checking/distributing of mail, companywide phone list management, etc. Our Perfect Candidate Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 2-4 years of human resource management experience. Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to: 1. MS Office Suite 2. Payroll and HRIS software (ADP & QuickBooks Online a plus) Required Skills and Training: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Team player with first-rate leadership and coaching skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Adept at prioritizing tasks and delegating when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
