DirectViz Solutions, LLC (DVS). is a high-level, strategic consulting services firm that meets mission IT needs for government clients. We are looking to hire a full-time Admin/HR Assistant. The work location will be Tysons Corner, VA. This position requires US citizenship. The Admin/HR Assistant reports to the Director of Human Resources and assists with the implementation of employee-oriented HR practices, policies, and programs to promote a high- performance culture. This individual will perform and assist with the day-to-day operation of the Administrative and Human Resources tasking to ensure efficiency and compliance with business needs. Essential Functions: Prepare offer letters and all correspondences to new hires leading up to their start date. Ensure notices are sent to the proper departments for all new hires, internal moves, and terminations. Coordinate new-hire on-boarding, ensuring paperwork, workspace, computer, mailbox, and other appropriate equipment is ready upon start date. Conduct new hire orientation for all new hires. Process and maintain electronic and hard copy personnel files in compliance with legal requirements and HR processes in place. Track the implementation and completion of all employee actions taken (performance development and improvement plans, Status Change forms, etc.). Conduct security and employment verifications from various sources. Assist in the generation of employee communications, safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting. Attend and contribute to weekly HR meetings as scheduled. Create and distribute DVS Newsletter. Assist with the implementation and tracking of company safety and health programs. Maintain, Schedule and track training participation records and sessions. Maintain office with the timely ordering of supplies and submitting necessary maintenance requests as needed. Collect slides, prepare, present, and participate in weekly Leadership meetings. Attend and participate staff and HR meetings as necessary as representation for Human Resources. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: 2-year minimum experience in Admin/HR duties Strong proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Ability to successfully obtain a government clearance. Bachelor's degree in (Business or Human Resources discipline) or equivalent years of experience Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk and sit at a computer in some cases for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift 30 lbs.
