Description Job Description More About the Role Leidos is seeking an Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to support related efforts for SMIT, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. What You'll Get to Do The Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will contribute to technical planning, design, developmentintegration, and verificationvalidation supporting the NMCI. Other duties include Serve as a technical expert for vendor solutions and for engineering support solutions and products related to enterprise and cloud-based virtual desktops. Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses, and provide input into Basis of Estimates for solutions. Perform reach back into vendor research, development, and technical support teams to ensure effective design and application in the production environment. Perform solution development and engineering work for enterprise and cloud-based virtual desktops. Participate in the planning of upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise and cloud-based virtual desktops. Engineer solutions that provide secure, effective and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for enterprise and cloud-based virtual desktops. Participate in new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement projects for the NMCI network. Collaborate with technical experts to synthesize solutions. Lead analysis, review, and validation with customers, stakeholders, and team members for NMCI projects and changes. Significant collaboration and coordination with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines. Comply with ITSM processes and procedures, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance, and Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239. Support development and maintenance of engineering processes, checklists, and procedures. Mentor and review the work of junior team members. You'll Bring These Qualifications Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Eight (8) or more years' experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. 5+ years of experience with Azure. Must be a US Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance to start the program. Technical knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas Azure for US Government, Office 365 GCC High and DoD, Azure Virtual Desktop. Experience working in large information technology enterprise environments designingarchitecting networks. Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks. Experience in collaborating with other enterprise technologists both internal and external to resolve complex technical issues. Strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team. Ability to multi-task, self-assign work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III or applicable certification to meet DoD 8570 requirements. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Specialty certification. Travel may be required. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs. Certifications -Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert. -Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP). Pay Range Pay Range 91,000.00 - 140,000.00 - 189,000.00 Remote
