Description:Job Summary: The Night Auditor is an hourly non-exempt position reporting directly to the department supervisor. The Night Auditor is responsible for accurately accounting, balancing, and recording all daily transactions in the hotel as well as performs check in and check out services for guests. Acts as the manager on duty for the overnight shift. Work hours may vary slightly however are typically between 11pm-7am, Sunday through Saturday.Benefits: Medical, company paid Dental and Vision, Voluntary, paid Leave and Holidays, Travel DiscountEssential Functions:Aligns with the policies, procedures and standards of the Cherry Cove Group, hotel brand and franchiseGreets customers immediately with a professional, friendly and sincere welcome, using a positive and articulate speaking voiceDemonstrates a commitment to guest service by proactively responding to guest needs and delivering excellent customer serviceActively listens to customer requests and responds professionally and appropriately ensures prompt resolution of pricing conflicts, stay inconveniences, etc.Provides welcome packet containing room key, tokens of appreciation, gifts, etc. to guestsResponds to e-mail requests in a timely and professional mannerCompletes all aspect of front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, telephone procedures, hotel amenities, and computer systemsRetrieves and delivers mail, packages, and facsimiles in a timely mannerFor Select Service hotels, assists with preparation and serving of breakfastResponsible for the overall sanitation of hotel front desk and lobby area as assignedPost, balance and reconcile the day s transactionsRespond to customer requests and complaintsFor hotel with restaurant, prepare Food & Beverage audits to breakdown and balance restaurant figuresOther duties as assignedSafety and Security:Recognizes, reports, and corrects conditions which may create security and safety hazardsUnderstands and adheres to policies and procedures for the hotel s key control and lost and found systemsParticipates in on-going safety trainingWears appropriate personal protective wear as necessary while working. Requirements:Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to consistently provide excellent customer serviceAbility to multi-task, maintain organization, exercise good judgement and manage timeAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to obtain CPR CertificationPossess proficient accounting and mathematical skillsAbility to access and accurately input information into a computer using Excel and other software applicationsProficient with office automation such as calculators, fax, telephone, etc.Ability to complete Brand required training within Brand specified timeframeEducation and Experience:High school diploma/GEDOne (1) year of experience in hotel accounting or related work experiencePhysical and Environmental Conditions:Ability to push/pull up to 200lb cartMust be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time, and be able to bend at the waist and stretch above the headDue to the nature of the position, you can expect to standup the majority of the time.
