Job Details
Sparks Group in collaboration with a public accounting, tax and global consulting firm, is searching for a professional Federal Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will have prior financial analysis experience, working with federal agencies. The Analyst will possess an active government clearance and will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating financial data and statements. Responsibilities:
- Consult with teams, analyze business goals and develop actionable metrics and KPI's responsive to business need
- Provide analytical reporting and analysis with insights and recommendations to improve performance across business portfolios
- Support various finance functions across the organization including project control, financial analysis and forecasting
- Design dashboards, and reports, for business units of reflect status and variations in their portfolios
- Create visuals for reports to enable more effective consumption of data
- Monitor historical and current performances of key metrics to detect and report anomalies
- Ensure the integrity, and accuracy of consumer data for enterprise data users
- Perform root cause analysis of data errors and provide solutions for issues, or escalate when appropriate
- Remain updated with current industry trends and make recommendations for future enhancements
- Develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services
- Support other special projects and assignments and performing related duties, as assigned
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Position requires U.S. Citizenship
- Government security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field from an accredited university required
- 2+ years of financial analysis experience working with federal financial data
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with several financial management functions such as cost management, budgeting etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to work collaboratively with teams
- Detail and process oriented; ability to work on multiple deadlines driven projects
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex reports, needs and documentations
