Duties

  • You will perform expert acquisition logistics knowledge recognized thought-out the activity and agency of leading-edge logistics concepts, policies, constraints regulations, and governing structures in the development and acquisition within DoD.
  • You will provide knowledge of multiple disciplines; logistics management, design interface, maintenance planning, technical data, supply support, logistics support, business operations, configuration management, facilities, manpower personnel.
  • You will develop non-standard approaches, methods, and criteria for analyzing management data to establish precedent setting results and conclusions.
  • You will prepare and provide resulting analyses to present findings to high level technical and administrative audiences who may be skeptical of the conclusions drawn.
  • You will perform duties to gain necessary cooperation and support based on accurate and persuasive arguments and authority.
  • You will produce finished products, prepare and present briefings, and participate in or chair meetings and conferences.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a final TS/SCI security clearance prior to entry on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of security clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You may be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug testing appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Management of personnel, management of government funding, analyzing, evaluating, and integrating data from multiple sources, performing as an Assistant Program Manager Logistics (APML). Performing and making decisions necessary to process all-source materials. Successfully serving as the liaison with high level administrative, technical, and managerial personnel within service and private industry.
