Duties

  • Provide civilian personnel administration; reviews time-off, monetary, and honorary award submissions; makes recommendations on eligibility and type of awards; and initiates and establishes central control of all MPFU Requests for Personnel Action.
  • Track personnel actions and keeps supervisors apprised of status; monitors civilian performance evaluations; maintains informal civilian personnel files and serve as the primary interface with higher headquarters human resources/civilian personnel.
  • Formulate and revise the annual budget request based on prior year usage and anticipated activities for the ensuing year
  • Provide oversight and technical guidance for all MPFU logistics and assists in the administrative planning, managing, and execution of the Organizational Inspection Program.
  • Oversee and manage the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program.
  • Recommend the establishment of and prepares administrative policies and procedures for implementation throughout the organization.
  • Based on day-to-day observations, analysis of work processes, and special studies, the incumbent evaluates program operations

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: provide personnel administration duties such as initiating and tracking personnel actions; manage the overall supply needs, services, material movement, real property, and budget; and prepare administrative policies and procedures for implementation throughout the organization.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
