Duties

  • You will provide leadership, technical guidance, and implementation oversight for the Inter-Service Materiel and Accounting Control System (IMACS)
  • You will communicate and coordinate appropriate interface segments of the assigned programs with other program managers, management officials and higher authorities.
  • You will negotiate with various levels of management to merge conflicting requirements and to develop compromises which optimize desired results for the Navy

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Per E.O. 14043, selectee(s) must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by 11/22/2021 or date of employment (which ever comes later) except in limited circumstances where an exemption is approved due to a disability or sincerely held religious beliefs.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field 0346 Level 14 Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying and recommending operational and strategic industrial initiatives to consider to optimize weapon system support. 2) Providing technical and administrative expertise, establishing related policies, and exercising authority in implementing the policy. 3) Communicating and coordinating appropriate interface segments of assigned programs with other program managers, management officials and higher authorities. 4) Identifying, reviewing, and recommending manufacturing technologies to be considered for stand-up within Navy industrial sites. 5) Developing estimates, budgets, and obtaining annual funding for all local and off-site Program responsibilities apportioned to the Navy.
