In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Financial Resource Analyst. Typical work assignments include:
  • Resolving daily operational issues to ensure financial services performed comply with federal standards and are reported timely and accurately.
  • Advising on the analysis of financial programs to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
  • Developing programs, policies and procedures related to all phases of financial management.
  • Maintaining internal controls system to ensure data integrity.
  • Developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts.
  • Resolving conflicts in laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures.
  • Coordinating and managing the overall financial service provided to a customer end-to-end.

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-15 grade level (starting salary $144,128.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level performing the following duties:
  • Managing financial reconciliation and fiscal analyses to determine the impact on agency resources;
  • Analyzing financial performance and trends to monitor and correct problems and improve business operations;
  • Developing recommendations for new or revised legislation and/or regulations and policies to improve financial management programs; AND
  • Completing supervisory duties such as assigning work and ensuring quality and timely completion, budget development, determining training/developmental needs, interviewing candidates, and making selections. (The contents of your resume MUST support your claim of specialized experience.)

  • National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

    Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying).

    NOTE: Current and former employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary. If you are applying for a higher grade, please provide the SF-50 Form which shows the length of time you have been in your current/highest grade (examples of appropriate SF-50s include appointment, reassignment, with-in grade/range increase and promotion actions). Please note : Pay adjustments and awards do not include the length of time in your current position, therefore, they are NOT acceptable .
