This role performs project execution and client coordination across the company to include activities such as proposal development and presentation, leadership of the project resources, budgeting, forecasting, project scheduling, engineering, integration, installation, start-up and project closure. The Project Manager is a single source of coordination for both internal and external stake-holders.Essential Functions:Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management at pre-sale proposal stage; provide technical, solutions-based presentations to meet client needs while supporting sales teamDefine metrics with stakeholders to measure project performance; provide support as neededEstablish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure project is delivered on time, within budget, adheres to high-quality standards, and meets or exceeds customer expectationsAssemble project teams; manage resource allocation and day-to-day operations of the project; serve as a liaison between project team members and stakeholders requesting project updatesGenerate project schedule, cost estimates, and gross profit analysis; manage scope of work to meet or exceed these goalsPartner with outside OEMs to define scope of requirements, manage purchasing process and ensure execution and accountabilityResponsible for all project documentation control and formal communicationProvide status updates to key stakeholders via regular meetings and reportsLiaise with various functions to ensure integration meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specificationsMay lead, direct, coach less experienced team members and/or project managerOther duties as assignedJob Specifications:Strong written and oral communication skillsOrganizational skills and a keen attention to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentExcellent customer service skills; the ability to interface effectively and influence all levels of both internal and external customersDemonstrated goal, budget, profit and ROI managementDemonstrated experience with large, complex projectsExperience to manage multi-discipline internal and external expertsDemonstrated excellent planning skills and use of project planning toolsAbility to work in a matrix reporting environment with various stakeholdersExperience with drafting/engineering software (AutoCAD, Solid Works or equivalent)Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree required; BS in Engineering preferredMinimum 5 years project management experience requiredSupervisory/Responsibility:Reports to New Equipment Team Leader; this position does not directly supervise other employeesWork Environment:This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee's essential job duties also require the employee to spend a portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area.
