Coordinator- Strategic Communications
The Strategic Communications Coordinator plays an integral role in the daily operation of TidalHealth's communications and public relations programs, and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with local and regional media. The position performs duties relating to the preparation of publications, handling media inquiries and requests for information, writing and editing news and feature stories, and planning and coordination of special events/projects. Responsibilities also include certain duties as they relate to health system communications, department recordkeeping, and reporting.Bachelor's degree in Communications Arts, Public Relations, Marketing, and/or Journalism required. A minimum of three to five years in media relations, public relations, marketing and advertising or related field. Demonstrated experience in media relations, writing, design, social media, photography and placement of public relations and social media vehicles. Special event coordination and website content development, and management is preferred. Candidates with background in health care environment desirable.Skills: Computer literate, excellent background in correct grammar, composition (written and verbal), and fundamentals of English language. Proficient in Microsoft Word/Windows and social media platforms. Strong writing ability with knowledge of appropriate style, creative thinking and photographic skills required.
