Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has openings for a Staff Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Linthicum/ Baltimore, MD. Job Responsibilities: As an innovator in the field, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems aims to be the world leader in novel computing systems architecture and design. Qualified candidates will have opportunities to incorporate advanced technologies such as superconducting electronics, machine learning, advanced materials, and statistical analysis of system performance, with the goal of developing entirely new kinds of computing capability for our customers. Roles & Responsibilities: Computer Systems Engineers work as a team to perform advanced concept development using established systems engineering approaches. Based on detailed trade studies, requirements analysis, and modeling and simulations, our engineers develop modern solutions to satisfy current mission requirements as well as emerging challenges. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) in Physics, Mathematics, Computer, or Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline with 14 years of related experience (see job description) or 12 years with a Master's Degree, or 9 years with a PhD. Demonstrated track record of team leadership and technical execution on technical projects Must have experience with three or more of the following: Professional hands on experience in systems engineering tools/Computer algorithm development/ Developing detailed models and simulations of electronic circuits or systems for design verification/Laboratory data collection and analysis/Analysis, design, or test of superconducting electronics/System architecture study or design. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (US Citizenship is a prerequisite) Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Computer Engineering or Digital Processing Professional hands on experience in systems engineering tools Experience with Verilog or VHDL Experience with C++ and Python Experience with analysis, design, or test of superconducting electronics Experience with machine learning, non-classical systems, or advanced computing Salary Range: 148512 - 222768 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
