About the Role Are you a looking to support a real-time, scalable platform as well as ongoing development? As the Senior DevOps engineer, you will work with engineering teams in an Agile environment leveraging cutting-edge software delivery methods and implementing operational best practices. In this role you will also be expected to: Foster DevOps culture and product ownership amongst operations and engineering teams Propose and guide architectural decisions for the DevOps team, including new feature implementations and technology choices for the larger engineering group Work as part of the Operations team to support 24/7/365 multi-cloud operations, provide maximum uptime and security, optimize hosting costs deployed across multiple cloud regions and providers Collaborate with the information security team to implement new security tools and systems Maintain development and production environments for engineering teams in accordance with corporate SLA Lead team projects and initiatives from inception to rollout - managing deliverables and dependencies while communicating timelines and expectations to stakeholders Provide knowledgeable, confident, high-level support within the organization to resolve internal and external customer issues Assist in developing, implementing and enforcing policies to enhance physical, network and system security Guide development teams in setting up operational awareness around their services Work to continuously improve processes and promote best practices and development standards About You Working experience supporting change management in a nimble environment Strong understanding of Kubernetes clusters, resources, and CI/CD pipelines Very strong in-depth hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including but not limited to: EC2, Load Balancers, S3, RDS, VPC, Route53, CLI/API Experience with the following: Support and maintenance of large commercial distributed software installations Implementing and utilizing monitoring tools like Datadog/Grafana Working in a fast-paced 24/7 operations shop - responding to and identifying potential and active issues and determining a course of action Designing, implementing, and supporting service provider (xSP, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, MBaaS, etc.) environments Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Jenkins or similar tooling Configuration management software (Chef) and Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) Scripting in Python, Ruby, Bash, and/or Powershell Experience supporting message bus queuing systems such as Kafka, Kinesis, etc. About Us Brivo is the global leader in mobile, cloud-based access control for commercial real estate, multifamily residential, and large distributed enterprises.
