Join the Tactical Space Divisions Mission Systems Engineering organization as a mid or senior Mission Systems Engineer/Architect to support critical national security programs at our Dulles, VA campus or our Gilbert, AZ campus. These roles are responsible for leading mission engineering efforts for space programs in the NSS business area. Support the technology development of a range of spacecraft with orbit lifetimes of 1-3 years to spacecraft with orbit lifetimes of a decade or more. These fast paced programs typically run between two to three years from award to initial launch capability and with a variety of programs in all stages of development, there are many opportunities for career progression and professional development. Our Mission Engineers and Architects Lead, plan, and manage mission utilization of complex space systems and capabilities. Understand and communicate operational mission requirements to engineering teams. Perform system analysis, design optimization, system performance assessments, and operations analysis work in support of integrated mission analysis for current and potential customers. Track Measures of Performance, Measures of Effectiveness and define other metrics to ensure capabilities meet customer objectives. May perform mission planning and orbit analysis using tools such as STK and Freeflyer. Bachelor's Degree in STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related technical field and a minimum of 9 years of applicable experience, or a Master's Degree and 7 years of applicable experience Preferred Experience: US Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret SCI level clearance CONOPS development for Space Based programs Prior experience conducting system analysis, design optimization, and or system performance assessments Knowledge of various mission analysis techniques and software tools Experience with space and ground product lines Salary Range: 125500 - 188300 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
