Responsibilities Our consultants on the Advanced Analytics & Intelligent Automation team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data engineering, data querying and wrangling, to data visualization and dashboarding, to predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence as well as robotic process automation (RPA). Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness. Our consultants focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development. Job Description/Responsibilities: Operate in a cloud environment and assess environment specifications and requirements for big data Develop, maintain, and test infrastructures for data generation to transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed to drive key business decisions Partner with data scientists/analysts and cross-functional teams to discover, collect, cleanse, and refine the data needed for analysis and modeling Develop, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures and tools aligned with business requirements Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) functions Maintain data lakes Perform complex data queries Utilize best practices for and identify ways to improve data management, reliability, efficiency, and quality Remove roadblocks to development through collaboration, communication, and creative solutions Drive development best practices and continuous integration and delivery in an Agile framework Qualifications Required: Minimum Security Clearance: US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance BS/BA in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other quantitative and computational discipline 3+ years of relevant professional experience Spark programming in PySpark or Scala Proficiency in SQL Firm understanding of Data Warehousing concepts Constructing, developing, and utilizing data pipelines / ETL Strong understanding relational databases, columnar data warehouses, and data modeling Instrumenting basic automation and CI/CD Designing and building distributed systems for scalability and security Data engineering to enable data science and machine learning Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) Understanding of Agile development methodologies Preferred: MS/MA in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other quantitative and computational discipline 5+ years of relevant experience Developing data pipelines / ETLs and performing data engineering using Spark Utilizing Big Data platforms such as Databricks Cloud data movement such as Kafka Cloud services including data storage, serverless computation, data movement, identity management Databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, Sql Server or Postgres Tuning performance for large data projects in big data or relational installations Micro services architecture and API gateways Supporting clients: identifying and addressing needs, building relationships, driving solutions forward Supporting business development including RFP/RFQ/RFI responses Knowledge of National Security or Defense sectors Additional Requirements The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
