Job Description: The Mission Systems Sector Analytics & Insights team is looking for a Data Insight Analyst to lead dashboard development for data-driven insights, resulting in more informed decisions ultimately reducing uncertainty and increasing sector-wide performance at an accelerated rate. The ideal candidate is adept at translating large data sets into high-quality interactive dashboards to display key information that drive business needs. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams in an agile environment with an emphasis on driving collaboration, quality and speed to market. Responsibilities for Data Insight Analyst: Responsible for development of sector Tableau dashboards, visualizations, reports and workflows to Turn data into understanding with appealing, interactive and responsive dashboards Illuminate and explain trends and anomalies Track business objectives and performance Optimize for high performance Create and refine analytic datasets Deploy, test and refine content Managing Tableau extracts and server administration of projects and permissions. Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement solutions and monitor outcomes. Job Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Principal Data Insight Analyst Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 5 years' experience in various software tools or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 3 years' experience in various software tools Senior Principal Data Insight Analyst Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 9 years' experience in various software tools or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 5 years' experience in various software tools For Both Levels: Strong background with Tableau development. Strong SQL and relational database experience. Exceptional graphic design background, creating user interfaces and user focused dashboards. Excellent communication skills and customer facing experience. Proven ability to learn and master new technologies and techniques Ability to obtain a security clearance and US Citizenship Preferred Qualifications: Tableau Certifications in both Desktop and Server (Associate and/or Professional) Professional Agile and/or Scrum Certified Experience managing databases, data structures, data governance Experience in machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) using Python/R. Experience in neural network techniques (MLP, recurrent neural network, LSTM etc.) using Python/R, Keras, tensorflow, PyTorch etc. Job location is flexible. Position can be based out of Northrop Grumman facility in Linthicum, MD (preference), another NG facility, or remote, depending on candidate qualifications and ability to work remotely. Salary Range: 79800 - 119800 Salary Range 2: 99000 - 148400 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
