Responsibilities Peraton is looking for a Computer Programmer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. The ideal candidate shall create, modify, and test the code and scripts that allow computer applications to run. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities for the Computer Programmer include: Work from specifications drawn up by software and web developers or other individuals. Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Education Requirements: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline. Allowable Substitution: Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline plus two (2) years of additional work experience performing the duties described in the Experience Requirements below may be substituted for a Bachelors degree. Experience Requirements: At least five (5) years of experience performing duties similar to at least two (2) duties found in the Journeyman Computer Programmer description. Security Clearance Requirements: Shall have or be able to obtain a Secret or up to a Top Secret Security Clearance. On certain Task Orders Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) will be required for Special Access Programs (SAP).
