Responsibilities Sr DevOps/Cloud Engineer will support a high-paced client environment and team who have a passion for creating and supporting cloud solutions. Supporting cloud-based application development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing integration, monitoring (Splunk, Datadog), big data, data analytics, as well as other efforts employed in the cloud. Sr DevOps/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for providing technical oversight, monitoring, and managing cloud and environmental needs for all resources to the highest availability of all operational systems. Performance and exceeding SLA's are of the utmost importance. Maintaining and enhancement of existing infrastructure, thoughtful suggestions on infrastructure enhancements to improve SLA, overall performance, delivery will also be expected. Building strong relationships with the team and client to ensure consistent and reliable outcomes. To facilitate ongoing operations and future enhancements and growth. With strong focus on maintaining and improving security posture, maturing CI/CD pipelines and other DevSecOps methodologies when applicable. Qualifications The following skills/experience/knowledge are required to be considered for this role: Due to our contractual requirements, to be eligible for this role, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated at time of hire. Ability to obtain a Public Trust. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field and at least 5 years of experience maintaining and administering large scale infrastructure of IT systems, or equivalent experience in systems/cloud. Must hold one of the following certifications: Google Cloud (GCP) - Preferred, Amazon Web Services, Azure, Red Hat Enterprise Linx (RHEL), CORE OS, Relational DB certifications Reviewing and analyzing complex infrastructure specifications to resolve and trouble shoot issues. Preparing technical standards, providing technical advice and guidance, and collaborating with architects, clients, programmers, QA to conceptualize and develop infrastructure. Proactively ensuring overall system health and SLA's Conducting thorough problem analysis, document findings, and propose creative solutions and enhancements for infrastructure. Leveraging cloud based tools: Load balancing, Horizontal and vertical scalability, minimal downtime custom application deployment practices, or Ensuring system/environmental performance Support and mature deployment pipelines Using technical judgment and make appropriate system decisions. Trouble shoot, analyze, debug, resolve infrastructure related issues. Support SDLC processes for all applications and data house within cloud infrastructure. Proactively surface and remediation security and performance related issues as they arise. Working within an Agile environment The following skills/experience/knowledge are preferred to be considered for this role: Open Shift, Docker, Kubernetes Jenkins, Github RHEL 7/8, CentOS 7/8, Windows Server 2K14+ SAS Enterprise, Tableau Server (Linux or Windows) Relational Data Bases such as Oracle 12C, 19C, Postgres, MySQL, Dynamo DB Agile/Scrum tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence IDE's Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Angular UI, Microservices, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Erwin Tools such as Junit, Selenium, SonarQube, Twistlock Security scan tools Fortify, Web Inspect, DB Protect Monitoring Tools Splunk, Datadog Additional Requirements The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
