Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group is proud to support a current mission of humanitarian aid agency in Washington, DC. If you are eager to provide support as a Refugee Support Project - Quality Analysis personnel to displaced persons from Afghanistan in a 6-month contract opportunity, then this is ideal role for you!

Hours will be Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. Pay is $22.00 per hour.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is required for this position.
  • Check thoroughly the arriving documents for displaced persons.
  • Receive and organize documents including mailing the letter to the correct specified address.
  • Handle of mail and unclassified pouches as specified in Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) regulations.
  • Receive and track documents, organize incoming and outgoing packages within an internal database.
  • Ensure proper labeling of all incoming and outgoing post.
  • Verify that information is accurate before they are mailed and updated in the tracking system.
  • Maintain timely records of incoming/outgoing registered mail, courier, pouch and deliveries.
  • Provide timely updates and communicate with focal points of affiliate refugee resettlement agencies on matters arising from the delivery/pick-up of documents.
  • Liaise with external service providers on pick-up and delivery times.
  • Liaise with UN Security concerning scanning of incoming mail and consignments.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Previous experience of any clerical work or customer service
  • Basic experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge in Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) regulations is an advantage
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way
  • Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things
