How you'll contribute This position serves as an HR Business Partner (HRBP)/HR Generalist supporting multiple business units across the organization. The position is responsible for day-to-day partnering with assigned business units as well as handling HR operations including but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, employee development, talent acquisition and onboarding. This is an office-based position based in our Silver Spring, MD location. The successful candidate must: Be an ambassador of our company values and be committed to driving a culture of inclusion. Position Responsibilities: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for all employees in assigned business groups. Develop relationships with assigned business groups and serve as a partner and advisor across HR disciplines, including employee relations, talent management and employee development. Administer employment life cycle activities for assigned business units, including new hire onboarding, the exit process and leave management. Provide guidance, support, and recommendations for the resolution of complex employee relations activities. Partner with the compensation team on total compensation decisions, including new hires, promotions, and internal job changes. Collaborate with talent acquisition partners for assigned business units, including collaborating with hiring managers, including serving as a member of the interview team. Partner with managers on performance improvement plans and monitoring of progress; provide guidance and direction on corrective actions. Advise, train and provide consultative guidance and direction to managers and supervisors in the areas of employee relations, engagement practices and strategies, communication and interpersonal interactions. Respond to employee complaints and concerns; conduct internal investigations, while ensuring compliance with applicable Company policy and federal, state, and local statutes. Partner with HR leadership and business partners to identify and coordinate development opportunities for employees to facilitate the growth and development of UT talent. Contribute to and/or lead HR projects, including process improvements, employee programs and employee engagement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
