BOMA International is seeking a full-time Manager of Communications & Marketing to work in its office in downtown Washington, DC The successful candidate will help to develop and implement communications and marketing strategies and tactics that align with the goals and objectives of a vibrant trade association. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, English, liberal arts or a related field and a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in communications or marketing roles for a not-for-profit organization, trade association or communications or marketing firm. They must have excellent writing and editing skills, be creative and detail-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with graphic design (including Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud apps), Hootsuite, Google Analytics and AP Style a plus, but not required. Responsibilities include: Assisting with the creation of communications, marketing and public relations collateral, including online articles, e-newsletters, press releases, marketing copy, member communications and website content. Proofreading and editing, as needed, content created by staff, members and contributors to ensure proper grammar and style and maintain a consistent organizational voice. Assisting with website updates and analytics, email marketing and other digital content management, implementation and delivery. Playing a key role in managing media requests, facilitating interviews and developing talking points. Assisting with social media content creation, strategy and execution, including copy, photos, videos, page design and graphic elements. Collaborating with a creative and dynamic team to develop and implement communications and marketing strategies, projects and campaigns.
