Responsibilities: The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform/oversee a general range of accounts payable, accounting and administrative activities. These activities include but are not limited to; processing invoices timely and accurately, financial disbursement, moderate to complex discrepancy resolution, vendor maintenance, period-end close processes, general ledger accounting, analysis and enforcement of policies and procedures. Processing invoices financial disbursement, and discrepancy/exception resolution. Undertake supplier related issues and reconcile vendor accounts as needed, identify issues and work with others to resolve pricing, quantity and other discrepancies and ensure that the root cause is addressed. Ensure accurate general ledger coding on all non-PO invoicing, and be able to prepare journal entries to reclassify any miss-coded invoice items. Analyze and accrue various invoices and expense items for period-end close. Ability to utilize Excel to perform analysis on large electronic invoicing and various other data sets. Provide support for internal and external audit requests. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Great analytical skills as well as an ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff. Industry experience preferred (ie Wholesale Distribution with foreign/domestic supplier mix). Exceptional organization skills and ability to follow through on commitments. Exhibit exceptional customer service to internal as well as external customers Ability to effectively manage tasks and delegate work appropriately.
