You'll join a dynamic and multi-disciplined organization in innovating for complex technical systems.The selected candidate will have diverse systems and software engineering expertise: DevOps, cloud architecture, test automation, process modeling and analysis, scaled agile methodologies, etc. Day to day work will focus on strategic system design and development efforts.You will provide thought leadership and problem solving for a variety of government agencies, offices, and programs in collaboration with stakeholders from private, federal, state and local sectors.Specific responsibilities will include:Designing, engineering, analyzing, and developing systems composed of software componentsModeling and analyzing software systemsModeling and analyzing software development and deployment processesProvide assistance to federal agencies in tailoring agile techniques, concepts and approaches including Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, Lean, or other suitable agile approachesEngage government leaders in defining the context, problem space and vision to determine capabilities, priorities, road maps, transformation plans and next stepsDevelopment of agile processes, plans, and architectures to support software development, analysis, and operationsLead and coach projects, programs, federal departments and agencies in transitioning to agile and incremental delivery cycles, recommending appropriate team structures, processes, methods, metrics and reporting structuresWork as an advisor, coach, and consultant to internal and external stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomesRequired for consideration:Bachelor's degree in a technical major (computer science, systems engineering, information systems, computer engineering, etc.) or equivalent engineering degree.5 + years hands on software development experience.Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining DoD security clearanceProficiency in at least one programming languageUnderstanding of agile development methodologies (eg, Scrum, SAFe, Feature and Test-Driven Development, Lean, etc.)Experience using software collaboration tools (Git, JIRA, etc.)Experience in one or more of the following:Experience in prototyping and automating modelsExperience designing and using cloud servicesExperience in delivering software products or services, especially using agile and DevOps methodsPreferred:Advanced degree in technical majorSuccessful experience as a technical consultant supporting the Federal governmentPreference shown for qualified candidates with active clearanceThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):MITRE requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
