This position will be located at our Defense Solutions Sector in King George, VA. The qualified candidate will become part of Peratons Combat System Simulations Development (CSSD) program. The CSSD program specializes in developing high fidelity modeling and simulations software systems in support of Combat System development, certification and training.Roles and Responsibilities:Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.Develop software on diverse platforms including UNIX, Linux and Windows based operating systems.Utilize configuration management tools, database applications and related software development tools.Understand of the software development lifecycle and roles within each phase to include a variety of programming and scripting languages, and complex software design principles.Experience in developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contain logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems.Basic Qualifications:A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria.Four (4) years of experience and a completed degree (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD) from an accredited institution.Majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree.Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile).U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.Software engineering experience, including strong familiarity with development in C, C++, and Java.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with modeling and simulations.Familiarity with DOD Tactical Combat Systems.We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
