Description: RKF Engineering Solutions (RKF) specializes in the design, spectrum engineering, and regulatory policy analysis, of communication systems for today's most advanced RF communication networks. Based in the Washington DC metro area, RKF is seeking exceptional analytical thinkers & engineers to work in a dynamic team environment on an array of challenging problems. At RKF, Regulatory Policy Analyst will perform analysis of legislation, standards, or papers, particularly pertaining to the telecommunications industry and assist in the formulation of strategies around those analyses. The work will entail direct interaction with customers to assist in interpreting, evaluating, and advising on regulations impacting their business, mission, or operational needs. Responsibilities: (sample) Evaluate written policies and extract pertinent information based on the subject matter Monitor existing and new regulations within the telecommunication industry Contribute to executive-level status report briefings Assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives Evaluate international regulations with regard to telecommunications and satellite operations in various countries . Requirements: Minimum Requirements: US Citizen with Secret clearance, and ability to maintain 3+ years in technical or business consulting 3+ years in regulatory / policy with specific ties to the telecommunication industry 3+ years executing the systems engineering lifecycle, project management lifecycle, or comparable for problem solving and decision-making 3+ years of direct client interface (government or commercial) Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills Proficient in the following tools: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Word Preferred Skills: Experience with legal advocacy and stakeholder engagement for government and/or commercial entities Experience supporting government regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Communications Commission, National Telecommunications and Information Administration, or the legislative branch Experience authoring senior-level presentations or written communications to senior-level audiences Experience working with RF Engineering subject matter Experience utilizing Microsoft Project or equivalent project management tools Experience following the agile/SCRUM software development process Ability to work independently or on small teams Education: Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Business, Political Science, or comparable with appropriate qualifications/experience Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Female/Disabled/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity (EOE/AA M/F/D/V/SO/GI)
