Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Sr. Principal Talent Management Specialist to lead efforts to build and develop the sector's talent pipeline. This position will be based in McLean, Virginia ; part time telecommuting will be considered. The selected candidate will report to the Director of Talent Management & Development on the Defense Systems Organization Effectiveness (OE) team. Scope and Responsibilities: Partners with OE and HR leadership to identify potential successors for key and gateway roles throughout the sector Develops and executes development plans to ensure readiness Applies their broad talent management and development experience to build deep diverse talent pools that will meet the organization's current and future needs Leads the talent management operations, consults with talent management partners in HR, and leads projects to ensure on-time achievement of milestones Partners with OE leadership to develop the talent management strategy to support sector business objectives. Uses data to provide insight into sector talent management and development needs and opportunities for improvement Partners with leadership development specialist to design and deliver innovative leadership development solutions based on sector needs analysis Partners with sector HR team to identify high-potential talent, accelerate their development, and address gaps in the talent pipeline Leads sector talent management processes in alignment with the enterprise strategy and approach Consults with HR Business Partners as a Subject Matter Expert on talent management and development goals, applying Northrop Grumman philosophy, content and tools Basic Qualifications: Must have one of the following: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Org Development, Business, or related field of study with a minimum of 8 years of experience in talent development, talent management, succession management, leadership development, or similar function Master's degree in Human Resources, Org Development, Business, or related field of study with a minimum of 6 years of experience in talent development, talent management, succession management, leadership development, or similar function Experience with a talent management or leadership development program Experience collaborating across boundaries and with senior leaders to assess talent needs and design solutions Demonstrated ability and proven experience communicating and presenting to all levels of leadership Occasional travel required (up to 25%) Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field Prior experience as an HRBP or other CoE(s) strongly desired Prior experience in consulting Experience working with highly skilled technical talent Experience leading change initiatives with an orientation to HR processes Key Leadership Traits: Unwavering ethics and values; trusted partner Strong partner and collaborator; ability to build strong consulting relationships focused on team, organizational and business success Excellent business acumen; focused on how HR processes and tools accelerate business results Solution-oriented; balances qualitative and quantitative measures Never satisfied with status quo; always pushing for improvements and change Salary Range: 103700 - 155500 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
