Johnston-Willis Hospital, a 292-bed acute care facility, is located in the upbeat, North Chesterfield area, a short drive from Chesterfield Town Center, offering an abundance of restaurants and shops. Responsibilities of RNs in our PAT unit: Pre- Admission Testing department evaluates the patients posted for surgical procedure to ensure high quality safe care is delivered Nurses are responsible for assessing patients prior to surgery and providing education in regard to their surgical experience Nurse Practitioners also evaluate patients, order needed testing and assist with further education Testing results are evaluated by Nurse Practitioners, nurses and Anesthesia providers to ensure a surgical home for our patients is maintained. This unit is AMAZING!" - AW "I enjoy the staff that I work with and the challenging patients" - TH "I love my co-workers, the leadership team, and the flexibility"- ES Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Registered Nurse License in this state or Current Multistate Compact License (required) American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (required) Critical Care or ED experience (required) Same day surgery experience or PAT expereince (preferred) Our employees come first.
