Maintain and provides technical support for RIBs and other Mission Module (MM) equipment located at Naval Station Mayport, with some travel to Navy Base Ventura County (NBVC) Pt Hueneme, Naval Base San Diego (NBSD), other Navy bases and deployed sites worldwide. Duties include: Performs hands-on scheduled maintenance on RIBs and other MM equipment Performs hands-on corrective maintenance, to include fault isolation Installs and removes MM equipment on US Navy ships Supports the assigned SKED/Maintenance Planner with planned maintenance system (PMS) management and execution Able to operate independently when supporting flyaway team maintenance and troubleshooting at various sites, both CONUS and OCONUS Must be able to perform physically demanding work, to include working in tight, restricted access spaces; must be able to climb 20 ft ladders and stand for long periods of time; must be able to lift 50 lbs to waist level. Must be able to pass basic DOT physical exam to obtain forklift license and pass proficiency tests Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years' experience on small US Navy/Coast Guard Vessels (Special Warfare Combatant Craft (SWCC), Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Coastal Riverine Warfare craft, or Landing Craft). In particular main propulsion and auxiliary systems. Experience with Ship's Maintenance and Material Management (to include using the 3M system), Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance (MFOM) US Citizenship, capable of obtaining a Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years' experience in a respective trade with experience in operating and maintaining Navy equipment such as small craft and weapons systems, main propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, or diesel engines on US Navy/Coast Guard Vessels, Special Warfare Combatant Craft (SWCC), Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Coastal Riverine Warfare craft, or Landing Craft. Experience on LCS Class ships highly desired Knowledge of Cummins Diesel QSB5.9/6.7, Doen and Hamilton Water Jet propulsion units. Knowledge of Surface Warfare (SUW)and Mine Countermeasure (MCM) operations and systems Active Secret Clearance Salary Range: 42300 - 70500 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
