Job Description

We are seeking a Manager, Product Management to join our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Strategic Capabilities Team. In ESM, we empower associates to deliver their best by cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging , where varying perspectives and opinions are valued. We are digitizing Supplier Risk and Relationship management through delivery of top notch user experiences. We create products to deliver big lift on quality risk management execution as well as capture significant efficiencies. Done well, this allows our Associates and our Suppliers to focus less on the mundane and more on creating value for businesses while managing Supplier Risk more effectively.

This job will lead the future of how we use data to transform how Supplier Relationship Management is done. We have future visions of making our overall program highly digital and dynamic. From control execution, to going to market, and contracting the opportunities to automate our function abound and this job will lead the charge for Enterprise Supplier Management.

As a Product Owner with our team, you would:

-Identify and clearly define who your customers are, and discover any differences between segments and groups of customers.

-Understand and describe the opportunities you're trying to solve for different segments, by learning directly from customers themselves, and collaborating with researchers, other product owners, business developers, and stakeholders.

-Research and structure experiments to see what's possible with our data.

-Prioritize by using your customer knowledge to guide and shape the conversation.

-Translate proposed solutions into well-written user stories, using Agile best practices to create a fully-developed product backlog with a future view of upcoming features for developers and other technical stakeholders.

-Work with developers to groom your product backlog in a way that all stakeholders can know what features to expect over what timeframe.

-Respond to unexpected developments--in the form of defects, priority shifts, corporate initiatives, and more--with concise direction on how to respond to those developments.

-Keep stakeholders constantly informed of your product--from executive roadmaps to customer needs, from bug fixes to release notes, and more--knowing what to communicate in the right way, at the right time, to the right people.

What we are looking for::

-Experience in building and delivering great products in an agile environment

-Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data and logic to make compelling business cases

-Exceptional teamwork

-Data experience with machine learning experience a plus

-Experience leveraging research and analysis to develop powerful product features for a differentiated product experience.

-Intellectually curious, inquisitive, and open minded

-Integrated thinker and creative problem solver

-Excellent and confident communicators, negotiators, and influencers

-Entrepreneurial ability to identify and prioritize opportunities in ambiguous contexts

-Track record of defining direction for teams, creating alignment, and being accountable for outcomes

-Fluid in adapting to and embracing change for themselves and with others

-Compelling executive communications and presentations

-Working understanding of design thinking

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • At least 1 year experience as a digital Product Manager or Product Owner
  • At least 1 year experience managing a digital product in an Agile environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years experience as a digital Product Manager or Product Owner
  • At least 3 years demonstrable experience managing a digital product in an Agile environment
  • Product Management training and/or certification from one of the major industry-standard providers (Pragmatic Marketing, 280 Group, AIPMM, etc)
  • Agile training and/or certification as a Product Owner in one of the major Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, Scaled Agile, etc)
