Job Description The Benefits Specialist will be based out of Columbia, MD and will provide support for US employees for Retirement Plan and HSA funding, Leave of Absence and other benefit administration needs. This position will report directly to the Director, Global Benefits. Ensures retirement plans are administered in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines and regulations Conducts retirement and benefits-related calculations and reconciliations following plan documents for qualified and non-qualified DC plans and HSA plans. Ensures timely and funding for all plans. Serves as a liaison between beneficiaries and participants and the plan administrator, handling or facilitating service requests, and other administrative changes Coordinates with actuaries, plan administrators, finance, to provide verified and compiled data for administration of retirement plans Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory changes, trends, and other developments affecting retirement benefits Communicates with employees, HR Managers, supervisors regarding leave of absence including but not limited to Family Medical Leave, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability. Ensures that employees, HR and supervisors are clear of their responsibilities related to leave of absence Coordinates with leave of absence vendor from the employees initial notice for leave through return to work Advises supervisors, HR and employees on applicable legislation and HR policies concerning leave of absence, which includes FML, short-term and long-term disability benefits Oversees the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, STD, or other leave(s) Acts as point of contact for GOC AP and all benefits vendors for all billing questions and provide appropriate GL accounts to GOC AP Maintains complete and accurate records of all benefits contracts and SPDs on the Sharepoint sites Tracks and reconciles benefits billings on monthly basis Required Skills Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and able to multi-tasking Good team member and ability to collaborate internally with other functions such as Finance, HR, and Payroll Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Required Experience Bachelors degree in human resources or related field of study 3+ years experience in benefits administration of which 1-2 years working with outside vendors and 1-2 years experience in 401(k) administration Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of experience with leave of absence administration #WRGRACE Grace is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity.
