DescriptionJefferson Solutions, a well-respected government consulting company of the Jefferson Consulting Group, woman-owned small business, is recruiting senior-level personnel interested in a Project Director position residing in the US The desired candidates must have senior-level acquisition and assistance experience and operations/management experience in support of USAID projects. As Jefferson's core services focus on management of US Government processes, such as acquisition and assistance support, human resources, program design and oversight, desired candidates will have experience with USAID regulations and policies.Jefferson senior-level personnel provide leadership, strategic guidance and oversight for both their staff and programs. They oversee operations and project finances and serve as the key company representative for the project to ensure strong collaboration with subcontractors, the US Government client and other partners.Key responsibilities:Use strong interpersonal skills as the lead interface between the company and the government.Apply management expertise to assist customers and provide oversight of the team's efforts.Provide technical direction.Manage, supervise and train staff.Develop the team's capacity through training and mentoring.Assign work among staff and ensure that tasks are covered.Apply quality control and project-specific standard operating procedures.Prepare narrative progress reports, annual work plans and other project communication materials.Communicate directly with project COR regarding work planning and project progress.Build relationships and work with government points-of-contact.Manage all aspects of the project, including vision and direction for the effort.Discern potential problems in client relationships and use effective solutions to resolve them.Facilitate meetings, including working with stakeholders to develop agendas.Report on project status in internal and client meetings.Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations, agency policies and company standards and local lawsCoordinate with project operational staff to coordinate travel and logistics for overseas short-term and long-term assignmentsUse their networks to recruit for and continue to build a database of potential resources to work under the projectOther management tasks to ensure successful contract execution.Minimum Qualifications:Master's Degree or equivalent years of experience.At least 10 years of acquisition and assistance experienceAt least 10 years of USAID project management & international operations experienceA minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.In-depth experience as a government employee, contractor or consultant.Holds a SECRET clearance or able to obtain a SECRET clearance.Demonstrated knowledge of USAID policies and regulations.Ability to coach and support experienced senior professionals.Strong organizational, communication, writing and analytical skills to effectively interact with program and contracting officials.Attention to detail, high standards of excellence and commitment to perform and execute all project activities successfully.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Per Executive Order (E0 14042) proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to your start date.Jefferson Consulting Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
