ADP is seeking a Senior Director, Government Relations . This position reports to the head of ADP's Government Relations function within the Global Compliance organization. The position functions as a Government Relations advocate and manages outside lobbyists and is responsible for coordinating ADP's legislative and regulatory monitoring and advocacy; intelligence collection, analysis and communication; and collaboration and coordination of legislative and regulatory knowledge across ADP business units.At ADP we are driven by your success. If success motivates you, you belong at ADP.We strive for every interaction to be driven by our CORE values: Insightful Expertise, Integrity is Everything, Service Excellence, Inspiring Innovation, Each Person Counts, Results-Driven & Social Responsibility.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify high-impact legislation or regulations affecting ADP or ADP service offerings and advocate ADP's position on proposed laws, regulations and government systems when appropriate.Lead advocacy initiatives to influence impactful legislation and regulations. Initiate and manage state and federal lobbying initiatives, working directly with legislative staff and members, lobbyists and trade associations.Maintain relations with the relevant industry associations and government counterparts and represent ADP in meetings with trade associations, legislative staff and government agencies.Provide consultation and direction to business units as it relates to relevant laws and regulations with potential impact to ADP and/or clients.Coordinate legislative and regulatory monitoring activities across ADP's business units.Summarize and analyze topics, trends and volumes and generate periodic reports.Work with Marketing to develop client-facing marketing materials, sales collateral, and similar content concerning legislative and regulatory trends affecting ADP services and clients.Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required. JD, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing the Government Relations function, preferably for a Fortune 500 financial and/or technology firm with international exposure. 15 years of experience preferred.The candidate should have direct experience in legislative affairs and advocacy, and in managing state and federal lobbying initiatives and lobbyists in a complex federal and state regulatory environment.Substantial experience in a governmental or legislative role, such as legislative staff or member, or a senior role within a relevant administrative agency, would be very helpful.An ideal candidate would have working knowledge of issues concerning employer responsibilities and employment administration generally, and of the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry; be familiar with health insurance, workers' compensation insurance, Payroll and Wage & Hour compliance, employment taxes, employer reporting, benefits administration, privacy and retirement plans.Familiarity with compliance programs preferred.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and leadership skills at a professional level.Ability to prioritize assignments and work under pressure.Ability to influence and apply analytical skills.Experience in management is preferred.Must possess a solid academic and impeccable ethics record.Ability to effectively communicate guidance on complex issues.Ability to establish relationships and communicate with all levels of ADP associates, and external third parties, and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across the enterprise.Preferred locations Roseland, NJ, or Washington, DC.#LIEXECExplore our COVID-19 page to understand how ADP is approaching safety, travel, the hiring interview process, and more.Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Equal Employment Opportunity at ADP: ADP affirms that inequality is detrimental to our associates, our clients, and the communities we serve.
