Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Manager 3, Business Development to work in one of the following locations:Baltimore (preferred location)Azusa, CADulles, VAAurora, COThe primary responsibility is to identify and penetrate adjacent and new markets for the Payloads and Ground Systems (PGS) Division. Other responsibilities include:Lead the identification, qualification, and development of new business opportunities in adjacent and new markets, including internationalPerform market assessments, competitive analysis, and understand customer dynamics to optimize value proposition on capturesDevelop and nurture customer contacts in support of Northrop Grumman Space PGS division strategic goalsManage the PGS business pipeline in sales force to ensure accuracy and support business forecastsAssist PGS Business Unit Business Development management in the coordination of marketing, trade show, and customer engagements for senior leadership meetingsManage division level training plans, attendance, and training project managementProvide weekly reports on pipeline changes to senior leaders at PGS and Space SectorThe ability to travel 25% or more will be required.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree7 years of relevant experience in business development, proposal management, capture management, engineering or program management4 years of management experienceMust have a current and active Top Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of USG's budgeting processExperience with DoD's acquisition process.Strong customer domain knowledge related to US Government's Space & Ground, preferably with the Space Intelligence Community and DoDSalary Range: 144100 - 226400Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
