Due to success of continued growth - the Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) at Leidos (in Arlington, VA) currently has an opening for a Model Based Systems Engineer - in the Signal Processing Business Area. LInC focuses on research and development (R&D), technical innovation across Leidos and unique solutions to complex Customer needs.As a Systems Engineer in the SP Business Area, you will be part of a team that manage and transition innovative technologies in areas such as requirements definition, architecture modeling and development, risk reduction and configuration management efforts, test and verification. You will work on teams to develop junior systems engineering expertise across LInC and Leidos, and will be able to receive advanced systems engineering training opportunities.The ideal Model Based System Engineering candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and have the ability to establish solid working relationships with technical staff members and peers within the division as well as our external Government customers.Regular tasks will include a mix of the following:Assist the design and development of Cameo system models for Model Based systems engineeringAssist in the development of DoDAF viewsAssist in the analysis of existing Electronic Warfare sub-system specifications (SSS)Derive requirements from customer desirements/capabilitiesAssist the development of new requirements and flow-down to sub-systemsIncorporate feedback and comments from stakeholdersInteraction with team members in collaborative environmentPerform trade study analysis for design studies for future spiral developmentPresent results to customers as appropriateDocument commentary in Confluence, or similar toolsBasic QualificationsMust be US CitizenBachelors with 4+ years prior relevant experience, or Masters with 2+ years prior relevant experienceActive Secret clearance, with ability to gain higher clearance levelExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools and SysML languageExperience with Matlab and other programming languagesExperience/knowledge of developing and updating DoDAF ViewsExperience/knowledge of Use Case DevelopmentExperience/knowledge of Requirements Development and AnalysisExperience/knowledge of compliance TestingFamiliarity with Cameo, JIRA, and Confluence toolsPreferred QualificationsMasters degreeCertification such as INCOSE CESP, OMG OCSMP etc.Practical experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 Processes, Tailoring, and AuditingPractical experience with Requirements Management tools (DOORS, Cameo)Practical experience with Configuration Management of Artifacts to support auditsFamiliarity with Agile SCRUM developmentBusiness Development and Capture experience (eg, Proposals, white papers etc.)Experience working in a Research and Development (R&D) environmentActive TS or TS//SCI ClearanceLInCElectronic WarfarePay Range:
