Responsibilities Peraton is looking for a Systems Installer (Mid-Level) to join our team in West Bethesday, MD. This position supports one of Peraton's oldest customers Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division. The successful candidate shall install and oversee the installation of Ethernet networks, fiber optic networks, network components, and network interface devices. He/She shall also plan and direct installation tasks and determine resource requirments for installations. Candidate shall also monitor progress of work, report potential problems, and communicate with all levels of management. This position is contingent upon contract award. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science and 2-4 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. A Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Certificate is a strong plus. At least four years of experience installing Ethernet and fiber optic networks, network components, and network interface devices. Experience shall include running, connecting, and terminating 100BaseT and 1000Base-T (STP and UTP), multi and single mode fiber optic cable, voice over internet protocol (VoIP), and installing network interface devices. At least two years of supervising network installations and testing; planning and directing installation tasks; determining resource requirements; documenting installations and schedules; assigning, monitoring, and evaluating work of subordinates; monitoring progress of work and reporting of potential problems; and communicating (orally and in writing) with all levels of management. An active Secret clearance is required.
