Responsibilities Our Data IT Strategy consultants help our clients improve business value through optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of their IT capabilities. This high performing group plays a critical role in multi-disciplinary strategy teams. We enable our clients to understand, plan for, and realize strategic opportunities presented by information technology through a collection of capabilities such as Enterprise IT Management, Mission Enablement, and IT Transformation. Candidate will be part of data solutions/integration team deeply involved in a data conversion/integration effort supporting a major system modernization. Responsibilities: Developing detailed ETL source to target mappings materials and design documents to support a large and complex data integration and conversion effort Strong experience with SQL and stored procedures with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Integration services Strong data analysis expertise to validate source data for data quality issues Interact closely with business stakeholders and technical developers as well as team members Supporting team members, business stakeholders and technical developers to address emerging data challenges, risks, and issues as they emerge in the development and conversion effort of the new application. Qualifications Qualifications for Data Engineer: At least 3 years of experience in a related field. Holds a degree from an accredited college / university. Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. Strong experience with SQL and stored procedures with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Integration services. Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management. A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets. Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Experience using the Agile methodology. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to solve problems and resolve issues independently. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Nice to Have: Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets. Experience with establishing data platforms and data pipelines in Microsoft Azure. Master's degree in computer science or related. Relevant certifications demonstrating aptitude in data management. Working knowledge of environments that use Mulesoft.
