Duties

  • Plans, organizes, and directs all the activities of the AG, ensuring that the functional work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
  • Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
  • Represents AG with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  • This position serves as a subject matter expert for Cyber Analyses and Operations Management.
  • Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant in the dissemination of multi-source intelligence.

  • Position is designated special-sensitive, incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TS security clearance with access to SCI or TS SAP to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
  • Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
  • Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Incumbent will frequently be required to travel, by vehicle, throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area.
  • While conducting required coordination with AFOSI field units and national-level counterparts, incumbent will frequently be required to travel, by vehicle, throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area.
  • Overtime may be required as workload demands and in some cases with no-notice due to urgency of time-sensitive matters. Periodic shift work may be required if assigned as a watch-standing analyst.
  • Travel by regularly scheduled commercial or military conveyance in accordance with Joint Travel regulations may be required in performance of temporary duty.


Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: I possess quality level experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Quality experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Examples of Specialized experience would be 2. Knowledge of change management principles, strategies, and techniques required for effectively planning, implementing, and evaluating change in the organization; ability to act as a catalyst for organizational change and is open and rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices; and multi-source intelligence information systems to capture and report on data in order to develop intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, interpret policy, and commit resources.

2. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations.

3. Knowledge of advanced dissemination principles, concepts, and methods to disburse the most complex information/situations attained from multiple sources. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.

5. Skill in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes; and quickly assimilating disparate data, rendering knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and making decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
