Duties

• Serves as the DoDEA Student Meals Program Chief responsible for the oversight, administration and management of the DoDEA Student Meals Program (SMP).
• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
• Responsible for formulation and coordination of policy and overall objectives for the DoDEA Student Meals Program ( SMP), in line with DoDEA programmatic goals.
• Program management for Overseas and Domestic DoDEA Student Meals Program (SMP).

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.
• One/Two year trial or probationary period may be required.
• Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
• One year supervisory probation period may be required.
• This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
• You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: Establish resource and manpower requirements to achieve program goals; Directly or indirectly, plans, develops, and implements procedures and policies relating to Student Meals Program (SMP) operational issues; Negotiates acceptable agreements to resolve operational and management problems related to the operation of the Student Meals Program at Schools. Definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Education
