Duties

  • Plans, implement, manage, evaluate IT support to Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (IEWS) systems and their associated requirements and threat risk.
  • Applies system architecture principles to develop and manage technical requirements.
  • Coordinates the management to ensure software suitability and supportability.
  • Applies expertise to the design and implementation of new requirements and modifications to existing software.
  • Provides quality assurance plans, coordinates, installs, and continuously analyzes system design, hardware and software.
  • Provides IT advice, and assistance to customers who manage the development, production, and sustainment of IEWS systems.
  • Participates in system software and database management issues.
  • Manages reports or contractual documents for distribution.
  • Provides advice and/or participate in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Promotes environment of cooperation and teamwork.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. I have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

AND In addition to the competencies:

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02) in the Federal service which includes experience in: 1) Provide life cycle IT software support to Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (IEWS) systems. 2) Perform analysis on new and existing software services to evaluate system configurations and monitor implementation. And 3) Provide IT technical guidance to contractors to resolve technical issues and evaluate performance.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

  • Technical Competence

Selectees must meet the position requirements for certification at Level III in Information Technology within 24 months of entrance on duty. Due to the impact of the Coronavirus, individuals with entrance of duty dates prior to April 1, 2021 will have an additional 12 months to meet the certification requirements, up to a total of 36 months.
