Duties

• You will manage an integrated access control/alarm system and electronic fingerprint system.
• You will advise others based on your expert knowledge of DoD security administrative directives and guideline as they pertain to personnel security, which includes requirements for safeguarding classified, Sensitive Unclassified NATO information.
• You will ensure compliance with executive orders, public laws, and security regulations and with all appropriate directives.
• You will advise others based on your experience conducting investigations in all areas of security management.
• You will provide clear and concise security briefs to leadership and entire command.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

FOR NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience independently review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Qualifying examples may include: reviewing overlapping and conflicting requirements within different factors such as a facility or region for resolution of issues; coordinating agreements with other organizations or agencies to confirm security resources and responsibility sharing; interpreting new policy issuances for application in multiple types of environments and locations.

Salary Info: The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $120,365.)
