JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional accounting duties, such as monitoring various general ledger accounts; preparing journal entries, financial reports and analysis; and reviewing financial performance.Education Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field.Experience 2-4 years of accounting experience; hospital accounting experience preferredSkills * Knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistics to include general accounting ledgers, profit and loss balance sheets, depreciation schedules * Knowledge of some types of computer software * Skills in data analysis and problem solving * Ability to interpret and explain the accounting data * Ability to prepare accounting reportsLicensures, CertificationsPhysical Requirements * Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail * Ability to sit for long periods of timeWorking Conditions * Normal office environment with exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperatures, and the like.Conditions of Employment
