Overview of the Senior Accountant role: This position will begin immediately on a contractual basis for the selected candidate and could become permanent for the right candidate This position is in Columbia, MD. Company is currently working 3 days in office and 2 days at home Schedule: Monday-Friday very flexible hours. Not your typical 9-5! Reports to the Accounting Manager Duties Include: Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts Handles month end close activities Calculates and prepares reimbursement billings and tracks receivables; reconciles monthly accounts receivable Assists with building out revenue recognition Helps with organizing ERP implementation Assists with organizing the revenue data Various ad hoc projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager and Controller Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant: BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related CPA preferred 3-5 years accounting experience in a small to mid size company Experience working within a consulting firm a plus Experience with ASC606 (revenue recognition guidance) Experience using Microsoft Dynamics a plus Experience implementing a new accounting ERP system a plus Must be COVID vaccinated or agree to be tested weekly
