Come join us, and find out what the best work of your career could look like for you.ResponsibilitiesPlaces recruitment advertisements, develops recruiting partnerships, attends recruiting events, conducts reference checks and interviews management candidates. May assist hiring manager with the selection process.Supports inclusion and diversity by developing strategies for recruiting, hiring, and retaining employees from diverse backgrounds. Works collaboratively with managers to develop inclusion and diversity acumen.Coaches managers on building more effective teams and assisting with employee engagement activities, including the annual opinion survey.Transitions new hotels into the company, working closely with on-site management to establish Donohoe culture, support employee morale and comply with state/local employment laws.Reviews and approves employee disciplinary actions and related documentation written by hotel managers and/or general managers. Participates in meetings during which disciplinary actions are issued to employees as needed.Prepares and monitors unemployment claims and represents the hotels at employment-related hearings and investigations, where applicable; prepares and files appeals.Conducts hotel investigations when complaints of harassment and/or discrimination are made.Conducts new hire orientation and coordinates brand training.Provides payroll support to the home office.Acts as HR administrator for hotel 90-day and annual performance review processes. Ensures compliance, timeliness and fairness.Tracks and maintains records of personnel transactions such as applicants, hires, promotions, transfers, terminations and employee statistics.Conducts annual hotel audits of human resources documentation.Works with other corporate HR staff on tasks and /or projects as assigned.Weekly travel to local hotels is required.QualificationsPrevious HR Manager experience is required.Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law is required.Knowledge of company policies and procedures preferred.The ability to communicate ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely is critical.The ideal candidate is diplomatic, approachable, and able to maintain confidentiality; energetic, self-motivated, organized, attentive to details, able to prioritize and has exceptional customer service skills.Strong employee relations, problem solving, written and oral communication, and influencing skills are essential.Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, business partners, and management.Microsoft Office proficiency, HCM/HRIS experience is required.Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
